While people in Paris gathered for le Dîner en Blanc, the Chantilly Cricket Club met the British Embassy Cricket Club at the cricket field situated on the grounds of the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly. In baseball it was a walk-off win, with the British Embassy winning before their innings was over.
Dismissing some habits of other bat and ball games, I did manage to put the sweet spot of the bat on the ball once. The result was caught on the fly, a quick out.
