We spent 4 days/5 nights in a house in Le Bourg-Dun, France just under 4 km from the beach. The weather was finer than we might have imagined yet we still used the fireplace daily. In a rental with a tiny, oven-less kitchen, the fireplace proved a real asset — our best meal was cobbled together using hobo packs in the hot coals.
We and another family (of 2) enjoyed multiple walks daily, highlighted by visits to the always stunning Bois des Moutiers, the Manoir d’Ango, the Forêt Domaniale d’Arques, and, of course, the beach.
